What is Capcom IM on Capcom Us?

Capcom IM is an IM network for Capcom Us users that is powered by Meebo! Chat with your friends through the IM bar at the bottom of the Capcom Us site.

What is Capcom IM on Meebo?

Chat on Meebo and your Capcom Us friends will appear on your buddy list just like your other chat buddies do (i.e. Yahoo, MSN, AIM, etc.). To access your Capcom IM account through Meebo simply add your Capcom Us login details to your Meebo network accounts page.

If you don't have a Meebo account. It's pretty quick and painless to create one. We have all the steps to create a Meebo account linked and ready to go.

To add your Capcom Us login to Meebo

  1. Log in to Meebo.com
  2. Click the “account” link at the top of the page
  3. Enter your Capcom Us log in details
  4. Click save

How do I add a Capcom Us friend?

Login to your Capcom Us account at http://www.capcom.com/ and add friends just as you normally do from their profile pages. They will be automatically added to the Capcom IM friend list in the IM Bar, and also when you log in through Meebo.

How do I remove a Capcom Us friend?

Login to your Capcom Us account at http://www.capcom.com/ and remove the friends from your “My Friends” list. They will be automatically removed from your Capcom IM friend list in the IM Bar, and also when you log in through Meebo.

How do I refresh my buddy list?

You shouldn't have to refresh it at all! But if you need to, just minimize the buddy list to refresh it!

How do I change my status message?

Simply click the drop down arrow next to your user name and choose away or busy.

After you have selected your status, you can choose to leave a personal message to go along with that by entering text in the field right below your user name where it says “type a status message here.”

How do I sign out of Capcom IM?

Open up your Capcom Us buddy list, click the drop down arrow to the right of your user name, and choose sign off chat.

How do I sign back into Capcom IM?

On the bottom right of the page you'll see “You are offline. Sign on now. Click the box and you will be signed back in.

How do I block someone on Capcom Us?

To block someone while on Capcom Us:

  1. Log into your Capcom Us account
  2. Open your Capcom Us buddy list
  3. Select the drop down arrow under the Capcom Us Icon in the Capcom IM bar
  4. Select "block"

To block someone while logged into your Capcom Us account on Meebo:

  1. Log into your Capcom Us account on Meebo
  2. Under your Capcom Us group, right click on the Capcom Us you would like to block
  3. Select “block

Note: You should not receive another message from the person you've block. The Capcom Us username should remain blocked until you unblock them.

How do I report abuse?

To report a user while on http://www.capcom.com/:

  1. Log into your Capcom Us account
  2. Open your Capcom Us buddy list
  3. Select the drop down arrow under the persons Capcom Us Icon
  4. Select report

What is the Meebo Pop-out?

The Meebo pop-out will allow you to interact with your Capcom Us buddies in another browser. You'll notice at the bottom left of your Capcom IM buddy list is a pop out icon. When you click this Icon a separate browser will open and take you to meebo.com, automatically load your Capcom IM buddy list.

Features in Meebo that are currently not supported for Capcom IM

Unfortunately, some of the things you can do in Meebo for other networks aren't yet supported for Capcom IM.

Compatible Browsers

Capcom IM should display and function properly with most major browsers. Recently we've seen some issues with IE8 Beta. You'll have to make sure and click the Compatibility View button in the tool bar in order for the IM bar to display correctly.
