There are several ways you can create a Meebo Me widget:

• Using Meebo Messenger. When you are signed into Meebo Messenger, choose preferences -> meebo me widgets. See Managing Meebo Me Widgets in Meebo Messenger for more information on this method.
• Add a Chat with us button to a Meebo bar. If you have the Meebo bar installed on your site, the Chat with us button creates a Meebo Me widget on your bar. Go to bar.meebo.com for more information on creating a Meebo bar and adding buttons to it.
• Using www.meebome.com. To create a Meebo Me widget using this site, follow these steps:
  1. Browse to www.meebome.com. This opens a page in which you can customize your widget. The image on the right side of the page reflects the changes you make to the design options. You can set the following options:
     
     • Widget title. If you create multiple Meebo Me widgets, each one must have a unique title.
     • Display name. This is the name users will see when they chat with you.
     
     • Widget size. Choose a small, regular, or custom size widget. The image on the right side of the page should help you to determine what size will work best in your page.
     • Color theme. Select from one of our pre-designed color themes or click Customize to set the color of each element in the widget explicitly.
     Once you are happy with the look of your widget, click Next.
  2. Choose the Meebo ID that this Meebo Me widget will connect to.
     If you already have a Meebo ID, you can sign in on the right side of the page.
     
     If you do not have a Meebo ID, you can create one by choosing a user name and password and providing your email address, gender, and age. You will need this Meebo ID to sign in to Meebo Messenger, where you can connect with users who are using your Meebo Me widget, as well as buddies on almost any IM network.
     
     Note: Once you have connected a Meebo Me widget to a specific Meebo ID, there is no way to change it. If you want to use Meebo Me with a different Meebo ID, you'll have to create a new widget.
     
     Once you have provided your Meebo ID and password (or created a new one), click Next. A page containing the HTML to be embedded into your site opens.
  3. Copy the embed code into your web site.
     You can put a Meebo Me on any web page where you can embed html and a flash widget. This includes most blogging platforms such as Wordpress and Blogger, social networks such as MySpace and Friendster, enterprise tools such as salesforce.com, and any other web page you control.
  4. Once you have copied your new Meebo Me widget into your web page, you can test it out. In a new browser window, go to meebo.com to log in to Meebo Messenger with the ID you created or provided in step 2. Now you should be able to use the Meebo Me widget on your site to carry on a conversation with yourself!
