Meebo Rooms allow you to join in group conversations with old friends and new friends on a variety of subjects. Unfortunately, sometimes you may find yourself facing someone who is using unnecessarily inappropriate or aggressive language. If this happens, the room provides several tools you can use to control the situation:

• Warning
  

  To send a warning, right-click the user to be warned and select Warn. The room will see an anonymous message that the user in question has been warned. If a user receives several warnings from different people in a short period of time, their chat privileges will be suspended for a few days. You may not send a warning to a moderator.

• Mute
  To mute a user, right-click the user to be muted and select Mute. You will no longer see messages from that user. You can unmute a user by right-clicking them again.

In addition to these tools, room moderators can permanently ban users from the room.

If you believe that you have been the victim of abuse or harassment via a Meebo room, please report it to us immediately at legal@meebo-inc.com so that we may investigate and take appropriate action.
