Many issues can be resolved by clearing your browser cache, refreshing your browser, and then signing back on to Meebo Messenger. If you are having a problem, we recommend you try that as the first step in troubleshooting.
Yes. There is a link towards the upper-right corner of the meebo.com front page labeled Sign on to individual accounts. Click this link to sign on to an account from any supported IM protocol.
Yes! You can download free Meebo Messenger apps for the iPhone/iPod Touch, Android, and Blackberry. If you are using a different mobile device Meebo for Mobile allows any smartphone with a Javascript enabled web browser to connect to Meebo Messenger using an interface designed for mobile devices.
Yes, it is free to use Meebo Messenger.
We take the privacy and security of our users very seriously. We ask for personal data only when we think it's absolutely necessary to provide you the best experience possible. For more information, please see our privacy policy and our security measures. Passwords are always fully encrypted, but if you would like all of your Meebo Messenger conversations encrypted you can sign in using a full SSL connection at https://www.meebo.com. Note that this may slightly slow down your connection.

Meebo Messenger requires a consistent internet connection – we’re constantly pinging back and forth to make sure the session is still active. On spottier internet connections, especially wireless connections, this can lead to connectivity issues. Performing bandwidth intensive activities (such as downloading or streaming large files) may affect the connection.
If you believe your connection is fine and you are still having problems staying connected, clearing your browser's cache may resolve the issue.
After a network interruption, Meebo Messenger will intermittently attempt to reconnect. If the interruption lasts longer than 2 minutes, you'll need to click the Reconnect button. If you are having problems reconnection, refresh your browser and log back in from the Meebo Messenger login page.
The Meebo Firefox extension has this capability. http://www.meebo.com/firefox/ After installing the Meebo Firefox extension, open the sidebar, set automatically sign on to meebo when Firefox starts and enter your Meebo ID and password. The sidebar also provides visual pop-up notification when your buddies log on and off and when you receive IM messages.
You may also be interested in getting the Meebo Notifier, which allows you to get Meebo Messenger updates even when you don't have a browser open.
There is no option to turn it off at this time.
