To add a buddy to the Buddy List:

1. Click the Add Buddy icon at the top of the Buddy List. The Add Buddy window opens.
2. Enter your buddy's information into the Add Buddy window:
   • Login ID - Select what account you will be using to add this buddy. The account you select must be on the same network as the buddy you are adding. You must have already an existing account on a network to add a buddy from that network. See Signing On to and Connecting IM Accounts for more information. Note that you cannot add Facebook friends using Meebo.
   • Buddy - Enter the name of the buddy you want to add. The buddy will be sent an invitation and added to your Buddy List. Note that the buddy name will not be verified.
     If you selected AIM or ICQ under Login ID, you can use this field to enter a 10-digit phone number as a buddy for the purpose of SMS texting using the selected network. The phone number should be in the format:
     +12223334444
     The number will appear as a buddy in the Buddy List, and you can rename it to something more descriptive as described below.
   • Group - Use the drop-down list to select which group the new buddy will be added to. You can select from all of your existing buddy groups or you can create a new one by selecting Add New Group....
3. Click Add Buddy to add the new buddy to your Buddy List. Your new buddy will appear under the group you selected above (or under Offline if they are currently offline).
