Managing and Removing Accounts
To change your account settings or remove an account, open the Accounts window by clicking Accounts at the top of the Meebo Messenger interface.
This screen allows you to:
- Disconnect IM accounts from your Meebo ID. Scroll to the IM account(s) you would like to remove and click Remove. Click Save at the bottom of the Accounts window to update the networks list in the Meebo Messenger interface.
- Change your sign on options. When you connected each account, you were able to set options that determined how and if you would sign on to these accounts when connecting to Meebo Messenger. You can change these options here:
- Connect on startup
Set this option to automatically log in to this account whenever you log in to Meebo Messenger.
- Sign on as invisible
Set this option to have the account set to the invisible presence when you log in to Meebo Messenger; this will cause buddies on that network to see you as offline when you log in. Note that some networks, such as Google Talk and Jabber, do not support the invisible presence. See Presence and Status for more information.
- Change your account password
If Meebo Messenger is unable to connect to an IM account, you may have entered the wrong password when you added the account or you may have changed your password. You can update the password here to allow Meebo Messenger to connect to that account again. Note that if you change your Meebo Messenger password (see Changing or Recovering your Password you will be prompted to re-enter all of your IM network passwords the next time you sign in.
