Managing Buddies
The Buddy List
After you have signed in to your accounts, your Buddy list will open. This list shows all your buddies sorted into groups, as well as any open conversations. Meebo will sort your buddies and open conversations into groups using the following guidelines:
- All of your open conversations will appear at the top of the screen under a group labeled Current Conversations. See Managing Conversations for more information.
- Any friends who are offline will be under the Offline group at the bottom of the list.
- Some networks allow you to sort your friends into different groups. If you have placed your friends under different groups in these networks, you will see these groups and any online friends in them on the list.
- By default, online Facebook friends will be in the Facebook group. If you have sorted your Facebook friends into groups using Facebook, these groups will appear with your Meebo groups.
- By default, any online buddies other than Facebook buddies will be in the Buddies group.
Adding Buddies
To add a buddy from the Buddy list:
- Push your Android device's Menu button and then select Add buddy from the menu. The Add Buddy dialog opens.
- Select the account to use to add the buddy. The account should be on the same network as the buddy you want to add.
- Enter your buddy's name in the buddy name field. This should be his or her user name on the account you selected above.
- Choose a group for your new buddy from the group name drop down list. You can create a new group for this buddy by selecting Add new group....
You can also add a buddy with whom you are in a conversation as described in Managing Conversations
.Removing buddies from the Buddy list
You can remove a buddy with whom you are in a conversation as described in Managing Conversations. To remove a buddy from the Buddy list, press and hold the buddy's name and then select Remove buddy from the pop-up menu.
