Can I use the Meebo app with the iPod touch?
Since the iPod touch does not connect to a cellular network, you can only send and receive messages with the Meebo app when you are connected to a WiFi network.
Do push notifications work with the iPod touch?
Yes, but with the following restrictions:
- As described above, you must be connected to a WiFi network.
- If the iPod touch is active, you will receive push notifications as described in Push Notifications.
- If the iPod touch goes into standby mode (i.e. locks the screen), it will connect to an available WiFi network every 15 minutes to check for any push notifications. If any have been received, it will send an alert and display all of the new messages, along with timestamps showing when they were received.
