Settings
In order to access the settings for the Meebo app, tap Settings on the iPhone menu and then scroll down to the settings for third party applications and tap Meebo.
The Meebo settings are grouped into 3 categories, Buddy List, Chats, and Sounds & Alerts.
Buddy List Settings
Sort Order
Tap this setting to change how buddies are sorted within their groups. You can choose between:
- Display Name - Each group will be sorted alphabetically by name.
- Network - Each group will be sorted by network, so all Yahoo! buddies will be together, all Meebo buddies will be together, etc. Buddies within a network will be sorted alphabetically.
- Status - Each group will be sorted by status (Online, Away, Busy, etc.). Note that buddies who are offline will still be moved to the Offline group.
Hide offline buddies
If this option is set to ON, you will not see offline buddies in the Buddies tab.
Highlight row on IM
If this option is set to ON when you look at your buddy list any buddies that have sent you IMs that you have not yet read will pulse, making them easier to spot.
Chats Settings
Landscape Keyboard
If this option is set to ON the chat window and keyboard will rotate into landscape mode when the iPhone is rotated 90 degrees.
Auto-correct
If this option is set to ON, the Meebo app will use the iPhone’s auto-correct feature to check for typos and suggest word completions.
Auto-capitalization
If this option is set to ON, the Meebo app will use the iPhone’s auto-capitalization feature to automatically capitalize the first letter of sentences, the letter I, and any proper nouns it recognizes.
Show seconds on IM
If this option is set to ON, the Meebo app will display the hour, minutes, and seconds when it timestamps a message. If this option is turned off, the app will show only the hour and minutes.

Timestamp each IM
If this option is set to ON, the Meebo app will display a timestamp for each message in a conversation. If this option is turned off, only the first message of a conversation will be timestamped.

Sounds & Alerts
Received IM sound
If this option is set to ON, the iPhone will send a message alert tone when a Meebo message is received. Note that if the iPhone is set to Silent mode it may vibrate instead.
