meebo, the Web's live interaction platform, today announced that Chris Szeto has joined the company as Senior Director of Product, aiding in product design and user interaction. Szeto has been working in the instant messaging and online communications space for over 8 years. Most recently, Szeto was Director of Product Management for Yahoo! Messenger.

Szeto majored in Computer Science at Yale University. After college, Szeto joined Yahoo! as a software engineer working on Yahoo! Messenger where he created the revenue generating IMVironments platform. Szeto also has experience at Microsoft and Google working on MSN Chat and Google Talk.
Combining users of meebo.com and meebo widgets, meebo now estimates its monthly reach at 24 million people.
