Director of User Experience
Reporting to the Co-founder and VP of Products, this key lead will continue to uphold one of Meebo’s core values: delighting users through meaningful consumer experiences. Meebo has been committed to the user experience from day one. From regular usability sessions, to weekly demo hours, to a tradition of meet-ups and blog conversations with our community, we recognize that an idea is not nearly as important as the design execution and that the execution is only as effective as your understanding of the end-user. more

Manager, Frontend Engineering (Ads)
Reporting to Director of Frontend Engineering and working closely with our Sr. Ads Product Manager, this contributing team member will lead an engineering team that jumps at the opportunity to add a little gleam, flare, and pizzazz to the brand and user experience. This team lead will focus on building strong and scalable platforms that all of our ads partners can use and will value team members with phenomenal debugging skills who take pride in spotting iframe overlay edge cases or off-by-one pixel issues. This team will enjoy the opportunity to work closely with the business team on key strategic decisions, blue-sky Marketing and User Experience brainstorming sessions, and the opportunity to join external ad agency meetings. more

Manager, Frontend Engineering (Consumer)
Reporting to the Director of Frontend Engineering, this contributing lead will focus on building products that delight Meebo’s community. Your Frontend team will recognize that a key part of the end-user experience happens outside of wireframes and mockups – it’s an eye for small pixel issues and seamless transitions, the desire to design nimble and elegant code bases in anticipation of future product innovation, and the initiative to work cooperatively with Product and User Experience teams to give end-users the best out of each release cycle. Your strength comes in knowing how to build a team of multi-dimensional team members who specialize in different technologies such as JavaScript, Python, or HTML/CSS and who work fluidly together. To make your team shine, you’ll be keeping a keen eye on the health and stability of the codebase, working with other Meebo teams to assess feasibility for new concepts, pulling up a chair to pitch in when a team member needs an extra boost of support, and continuing to lead and mentor to the success of your superstars. more

Web Developer
Reporting to the Director of UX and working closely with Meebo’s Editorial team, you will be working at the coveted intersection of Engineering and Design -imagining, creating, and maintaining all of Meebo’s web site properties. As Meebo grows, so does its site including its web pages, documentation, business site, and marketing materials. This Web Developer will take input from multiple teams and translate that feedback into a seamless experience for Meebo’s consumer end-users, press, business partners, job applicants, and advertising publishers. While you have serious web chops including HTML, CSS, Python, and JavaScript, your expertise also extends into the design realm including an eye for pixel-level detail, the ability to layout a page depending upon usage and content requirements, and an appreciation for typography and color. Working with your Visual Designer and Editorial teammates, you will build the pages that reinforce Meebo’s dedication to a simple, innovative, and friendly user experience. more

Interaction Designer
We love delighting users. We don't expect our average user to notice the subtle nuances in our drag and drop sharing feature, the polite experience we provide when inviting users to interact with advertising or a one-click buddy icon selection user flow. However, we attribute much of Meebo's growth to our users discovering our products, experiencing delight, and then having a deep desire to share that experience with their friends. To cultivate this process, we relentlessly strive to understand our users and are passionate about fostering a creative, open-minded atmosphere within Meebo. As Interaction Designer you will craft great interesting moments for our users to engage in whether on Meebo Messenger or distributed across the web on the Meebo Bar. more
