Position located in Dallas, TX
Account Managers are part of Meebo's advertising sales team, working closely with our clients to manage existing ad campaigns, build media proposals, and find new business through prospecting phone calls. AMs operate in tandem with their outside sales partners, helping to set sales strategy for a given territory, building sales presentations, and raising Meebo's profile in the ad community. Ideal candidates will be team-focused, organized, and creative salespeople who are driven to exceed established revenue goals and move up through our sales ranks.
How you'll contribute:
- Establish strong relationships with key agencies and clients in the entertainment, consumer electronics, telecom, CPG, auto, and other relevant categories
- Prospect and generate new business through phone sales activity
- Manage existing advertising campaigns while delivering routine updates on performance to clients
- Help to construct thoughtful responses to RFPs and build/refine sales presentations to meet customer demand
- Help shape a customer-centric sales organization that embodies candor and integrity
- Work closely with an outside sales partner in driving revenue to support Meebo's growth
- Develop a strong sales presence within an assigned territory
- Diligently and effectively manage sales funnel, revenue reporting, and revenue forecasts
- Increase awareness about Meebo within the advertising, media and marketing community by evangelizing the efficacy of our platform and capabilities
What you'll need:
- Client-oriented approach, with good judgment about ad programs that will engage users
Understanding of technical requirements and opportunities within interactive media
- Ability to work collaboratively with external partners as well product marketing, sales, and other internal teams
Steeped in pop culture and digital media used by our users and clients
Flexibility, patience, and a roll-up-your-sleeves work ethic
- Bachelor's degree (graduate degree a plus)
- 1-3 years demonstrated success in media (online consumer media preferred)
