Meebo has become a leader in the development of high-impact, custom marketing programs that tap into the potential of digital media and real time communication. The proposal phase for every digital ad campaign is where creative ideas originate in response to meet clients advertising objectives. Creative ideas must then be finessed into polished mockups for rich media ad units that infuse brand style and clearly illustrate basic interaction possibilities that are integrated in Meebo products. This is where you fit in.

Meebo’s Creative team is seeking a Visual Designer to create visual concepts that illustrate digital rich media experiences as part of advertising programs running on Meebo.com and Meebo partner web sites (this is a non-technical role). Your designs will include a gamut of world-class brands and consumer products across a diverse range of market verticals.

You’ll be required to master Photoshop and be resourceful locating graphic assets & fonts. You must have an eye for visual design, the ability to visualize clear user flows, and have an interest in the evolving landscape of digital ad media. We have a fantastic team environment, with feedback exchanged throughout the design process from people who tend to be nice, humble, genuine, and fun.

Responsibilities Include:

• Collaborate with Creative and Marketing teams to develop mock-ups that effectively communicate interaction and visual design ideas for various custom rich media ad units using Adobe Photoshop
• Design static visuals for branded takeovers and wallpaper designs
• Create graphics for use in PowerPoint materials to support Sales/Marketing teams
• Adhere to production schedules and work with Design Manager to estimate milestones
• Attend pre-sale kickoff calls to understand creative objectives of proposals and contribute design ideas for use in creative brief
• Manage and update design template files for Meebo.com products
• Other responsibilities as needed

Requirements:

• 3+ years of consumer-facing web or interactive design experience required (previous experience working with or for an advertising agency a plus)
• Ability to adapt to different design styles and adhere to various brand guidelines
• Ability to create custom graphics, icons, buttons, etc.
• Knowledge of current design and digital rich media advertising trends
• Instinct for good usability – appreciates one-click interfaces and interaction consistency
• Able to interpret verbal direction into visual beauty
• Photoshop pro – digital imaging, able to create rapid design comps that incorporate strong brand presence and convey solid UI structure.
• Exceptional layout & design skills – solid understanding of type & imagery and color composition, able to create a distinct visual hierarchy of UI elements
• Able to juggle multiple projects - Can identify primary and secondary objectives, prioritize time and communicate timeline to team members
• Ability to take creative direction and work independently and proactively
• BFA in Design-related field
