We’re looking for an Interactive Manager to lead our Digital Ads production team to build, innovate and evolve new Flash-developed digital ad products for Meebo’s social web and mobile platforms.

Our ideal candidate is a creative designer with technical Flash developer skills, is passionate about the digital advertising space and will have demonstrated experience designing and developing branded interactive content on the web.

As a hands-on manager, you will be responsible for designing, providing art direction and managing a team of Flash designers/developers.

You must possess outstanding visual, interaction, and motion effects skills. You must have a vision to innovate and communicate ideas, and understand technical parameters for developing digital ad creative that leverages both the Meebo platform and forward-thinking web technologies.

Responsibilities Include:

• Develop unique high-engagement digital ad placements originating from idea concepts to final deployable creative.
• Manage and mentor staffed visual designers/developers - hire team resources as needed.
• Collaborate with designers, engineers, marketing managers, and ad ops to build, innovate and evolve our current ad products as well as define new ad product offerings.
• Develop mock-ups and prototypes to effectively communicate ideas.
• Lead projects under the supervision of the creative director and senior team members.
• Schedule production timelines and estimate the time to complete deliverables.
• Participate on calls with Media Agencies to understand client objectives, communicate creative ideas and technical scope of projects.
• Create visual and technical specifications for future rich media product offerings.
• Establish scalable production and asset management processes.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of consumer-facing interactive design experience required (previous experience working with or for an advertising agency a plus)
• Experience managing a team and providing art direction for interaction design projects
• Portfolio of Flash-based micro-sites, game interfaces, or rich media ad creative
• Expert level ActionScript 2 and 3
• Mastering of animation techniques using both timeline and programmatic motion.
• Knowledge of encoding audio and video within Flash
• Photoshop Pro – attention to detail, layer management, pixel-perfect digital imaging
• Exceptional layout & design skills – solid understanding of type & imagery and color composition, able to create a distinct visual hierarchy of UI elements
• Able to juggle multiple projects - Can identify primary and secondary objectives, prioritize time and communicate timeline to team members
• Ability to take/provide creative direction and work independently and proactively.
• BFA/BS in Graphic Design, Computer Science or Interactive Design-related field.
