We’re looking for an Interactive Flash Designer to create custom digital rich media experiences as part of advertising programs running on Meebo.com and Meebo partner web sites. You will be responsible for designing and developing custom interactive ad units, animated banners, and branded site takeover visuals for world-class brand campaigns.

You’ll be required to master Photoshop and Flash (AS2 and AS3). You must have an eye for interaction, visual, and motion design. We have a fantastic team environment, with feedback exchanged throughout the design process from people who tend to be nice, humble, genuine, and fun.

Responsibilities Include:

• Design custom Flash rich-media ad units from scratch and comfortable working with third-party provided source Flash files
• Create both animated rich media and static campaign assets (i.e. wallpapers)
• Optimize video formats for use in custom video players
• Create visual prototypes and demos for Sales/Marketing teams
• Adhere to production schedules and work with Design Manager to estimate milestones
• Participate on calls with Media Agencies to understand client objectives, communicate creative ideas and technical scope of projects.
• Develop mock-ups and prototypes to effectively communicate interaction and visual design ideas
• Other responsibilities as needed

Requirements:

• 3+ years of consumer-facing Flash or interactive design experience required (previous experience working with or for an advertising agency a plus)
• Strong portfolio of Flash-based micro-sites, game interfaces, or rich media ad creative
• Solid experience using Actionscript 2 and 3
• Mastering of Flash animation techniques using both timeline and programmatic motion
• Knowledge of encoding audio and video within Flash
• Photoshop pro – digital imaging, able to create rapid design comps that incorporate strong brand presence and convey solid UI structure.
• Exceptional layout & design skills – solid understanding of type & imagery and color composition, able to create a distinct visual hierarchy of UI elements
• Able to juggle multiple projects - Can identify primary and secondary objectives, prioritize time and communicate timeline to team members
• Ability to take/provide creative direction and work independently and proactively
• BFA/BS in Graphic Design, Computer Science or Interactive Design-related field
